Changing Hollywood for Families

IndieCross Studios was formed to change Hollywood for families. Period. That is the reason for everything we do. The first episode of our new webisode series, "Makin It LA" is exactly that. From networking with passionate writers, actors, and filmmakers, to making films that they can showcase their talent with. From talking to families and viewers to see what they want to give them high-quality alternatives delivered straight to their televisions, computers, and mobile devices. This is a brand new way of doing "Hollywood". We are listening to the viewers, giving artists an outlet, and distributing the films directly to the people who want them. If you want to join the cause, go to www.indiecross.com, find out more about us, and get involved. We are changing lives in Hollywood, giving families what they want and building a "new way" of doing films. :) Layne McDonald

Makin It LA - Episode 1 - Watch Now

The year of work has paid off and our six part mini series has taken off. Watch the first episode now at www.makinitla.com and see what "Makin It LA" is all about. I have been blessed to be apart of such a talented cast and look forward to the series rolling out in the next few weeks (one show will come out each Saturday for six weeks). Please contact me on www.makinitla.com and let us know what you think about the production. It is a comedy and safe for the whole family. The goal is to role out the webisodes, then edit it into a short then fundraise to finish it out as a feature film. Please check out the show at www.makinitla.com and help us make the goal come true. We already have distribution. All we need now is $5000 to push it to every television, computer and mobile devise on the good ol' planet earth. If you catch the big picture of what we have done with no budget, so far, and would like to donate and become an Executive Producer on the project, contact me on the

Why does Hollywood always smell of cigarettes and weed? I think I will go to the beach for fresh... No wait... The beach smells the same. ;)

Final Official Shoot Day for Makin It

"Makin' It" is an episodic webisode series I have been Co-Executive Producing, Directing, Shooting and Editing. It has taken a good four months of hard shooting to get the footage we need, and last weekend was our last official shoot, for Principle Photography. It has been an amazing journey, with a great cast and crew, that I am sure will be working together sometime in the future. Their passion for writing, acting and doing what needs to be done behind the scenes is what makes this talented "troop" a golden find, in Hollywood. They are a rare breed and it is why this production should be a great success. This whole webisode series started late last year (2010), when Melonie Holloway had an idea about two friends moving to Hollywood to try and "make it". She asked two great guys to come on board to help spearhead the writing (Ethan Andrew and Jon Befort), and off it went. After two months of writing, I was asked to come in and help push it through the
Finished last official day of shooting principle actors! It has been a long four months of production, but an amazing cast and experience!!!
